I am a direct descendant of the John MacMillan mentioned in Somerled MacMillan's book. John was born in Callich son of Ewen Og MacMillan & Sarah. He married Mary MacLean daughter of Alexander and had the following family -
Alexander born Blaich c.1786-, married Ann MacLean, their descendants lived in Tomonie as per Somerled's book.
Mary born Blaich 1787,married Allan Boyd, died 1869 Blaich.
Anne born Blaich 1790
Christian born Blaich 1797, married Alex. MacLean died Blaich 25 July 1891.
Margaret born Blaich 1799
Duncan Ban born April 1801, married Mary Todd died Garvan 2nd January 1873.
Ewen born Blaich 1803
John born Blaich 1805, married Ann Cameron died 6 May 1886 at Tomonie, Corpach.
Sarah born Blaich 1807 and married Allan Cameron.
I believe John MacMillan of Blaich was still living in 1826, and his widow lived with her daughter Mary Boyd in Blaich in 1851 aged 92years,I believe she died 1852 during the great snow when a lot of elderly in the district died.
Always looking for more parts of this most interesting puzzle, phots, stories etc.
