If you are interested in the documented origins of the MacMaster, McMaster, MacMasters, McMasters, the real story about their origins and early years in Scotland, landholdings and conflicts, marriage into major clans, honors, etc., 'Clann a' Mhaighstir' is heavily documented with an extensive bibliography. It was published by the Scottish Genealogy Society, Edinburgh, Scotland (Lord Lyon, King of Arms, President), and is used as the primary reference on these families in the National Library of Scotland.
