James Ryan of Newcastle New Brunswick married Annie McLeod daughter of John McLeod of St. Ann and Annie MacNeil of Big Bras Dor. What connection ( if any) is this John McLeod to the John McLeod who left Douglastown Miramichi to go to New Zealand or his brother Isaac MacLeod .
Both Isaac b 1806 born in Scotland and John 1825 b in Nova Scotia were children of William McLeod and Jane McDonald of Kennacoil scotland and Pictou.
John McLeod of Douglastown married Helen Alexander at Miramcihi NB and left for New Zealand and estabished Helenville.
I see that Isaac had a son John.
