From :- luceo57@yahoo.co.uk.. There is a lineal mixture of the christian name John in that Colbecks family. John, son of Donald, son of John - and he himself had a son named John and if I remember correctly a grandson called John. But I think that the male line died out unless of course further information comes to light to show from records that he had brothers which history so far has not told us about. The only line of descent would be via one of the female members of the family. norman
