Hi Ron Worth - I am Lee Shackelton of Mariposa, CA.a descendant of some McClellans from Nova Scotia as follows;
Per 1880 Census from Kent Co., Mich. my ggrandmother Anna E. McClellan at age 45 is listed as wife of James L.McClellen (spelling error may be fault of census taker). The census rpt. lists Nova Scotia as POB for James L.(age 57), and both of his parents, (not named).
Rpt. lists Anna E.'s POB as Canada, and her un-named parents both from New Jersey.I have one of her death notices, printed gold on black, which spells it McClellan.

A 1900 census rpt. lists my grandmother, Emma C. McClellan Shackelton as being born to Anna E. in 1864. Do you have any more genealogy to add? LEE S.
