Dallas,

My g grandmother was Margaret MacLellan from Broad Cove, Cape Breton. I have a Book of Genealogy from the parish of Margaree and I have this entry:

John MacLellan (Tailor) and wife arrived in Pictou from Morar, Scotland in 1821 with four young boys. John, Donald, Neil and Archie. They settled in Dunvegan.

Donald's son was Archie D. MacLellan of Belle Cote. He married Margaret MacLellan (this last name doesn't seem correct) SW Margaree. Their children were: Margaret, John, Dan, Tena, Katherine, Flora, Ronald and Annie.

John (son of Archie)married Mary White, daughter of Angus White - no family
Dan (son of Archie) married Mary Windle, children: Douglas who had 7 children, John who had 4 children, and Peggie who married Ray Thomas and had 6 children.

My great grandmother was Margaret MacLellan (born circa 1850-1860 - died 1940 in the US) who married John Daigle. Her parents were Archie MacLellan and Sarah ?. I am a descendant of Donald (son of the original John)I have not traced my MacLellan genealogy yet. Still working on another branch. I thought this may be of help in some way.
