McClean --> Maclean after emigrating from Scotland to Canada
Posted by: Mary Maclean (ID *****0883) Date: November 30, 2011 at 17:23:25

The other side of my family is easy to trace because it's such a rare name, but Maclean has so many variations, I don't know where to start. My grandparents were born in Syracuse, lived in Potsdam. My grandfather was George Rundell Maclean. I know shortly after the turn of the 20th century some of them went to Canada from Belfast, but that is all I've been able to deduce from family records I've found. Anyone out there a long lost relative?
