Hi. My MacLean line only goes back as far as (?) MacLean and his wife Margaret. They had four known children, Angus 08/07/1875--Aft.1964, John R. 21/07/1878--Aft.1964, Mary Christena ("Auntie Katie") 14/03/1880--Aft.1964, and "Dolly" 15/05/1884--07/12/1922. Angus was a veteran of the South African War, when he came back, he became very quiet. He was a very hard worker, he settled land at Quesnel Lake, and carried the stove on his back from the town of Likely, about a two or three mile walk. He was described by my grandfather as a grumpy old man. When he died, the property was split in three, his sister Mary Christena (known by my grandfather as "Auntie Katie") and brother John one third each. Also, his three nieces Mary Christena, Eliabeth ("Betty"), and Jean, inherited a third of third, which providing their father had still been alive, would've gone to him . I am very interested in tracking down the descendants of these individuals (Angus never married, "Katie" was married and had children, I dunno about John) and would also like to know any information about their parents and their ancestors. One thing I do know is MacLean street in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada (Where they were from) was named after their family. If anyone has any info please contact me ASAP. Ryan M. Williams great-grandson of Elizabeth (MacDonald) Williams Notify Administrator about this message?
