Hector, first of Muck, had a son Lachlan but it is unclear in Sinclair's clan history who his mother was. Lachlan had a son John who had sons Lachlan and Alexander. Lachlan, son of John drowned at 22. Alexander married Eunice MacKinnon and they had six children Lachlan, Donald, Malcolm, Christy, Mary, and Catherine. All except Catherine came to Cape Breton in 1826.
Lachlan, son of Alexander was ground officer in Rum for about 30 years. He was born in 1763. He married Mary MacKay by whom he had Donald "Ban" and Marion.
