According to "History of Inverness County Nova Scotia" (MacDougall, J.L., 1922, reprinted 1999 ISBN 0-919302-54-8), Roderick MacLean's wife was Ann MacIsaac, of Canna, Scotland. She was sister to Angus & Allan, who had also come to Broad Cove Banks. Ann & Roderick had seven sons and four daughters. MacDougall says three of the daughters were married, but doesn't give their names. He does, however, list the names of the sons: William married a Miss MacKay [Daughter of Hector & Mary at Chimney Corner]; Charles married Sarah MacLean, of Isle of Muck; John (Ban) married Margaret MacDougall of the Broad Cove Banks MacDougalls; Murdoch married Mary MacGregor; Neil "settled at Broad Cove Banks, where some of his descendants now hold forth" [presumably married, but no wife's name given]; Allan, and Donald.
Children of John (Ban) MacLean and Margaret MacDougall were: Murdoch, Duncan, Charles, John, Catherine, Ann, Mary, Margaret, and two boys who died in infancy. Murdoch died unmarried. "Duncan married Rosa Lavery of Lachine, Quebec, with issue: Murdock, John, Charles, Alexander and Neil, all dead [i.e., bef 1922], Rosa Jane married to Donald McLean, Catherine to Wm. P. Flynn, Mary married Angus McDonald of Boston, and Maggie married Angus McKinnon of Boston."
There are several pages on this family, including more about John Ban & Margaret's other children, and the sons of Ann MacIsaac's brothers, which I would be happy to transcribe for anyone interested. Happy hunting.
