Well, I was astounded to find that such a combination of first and last name was not as unusual as I thought or even unique! The US Social Security Death Index (SSDI) shows 5 different people named Dewey Cagle who have died and whose deaths have been notified to the Department, 9 named Addie Cagle, and 14 Hattie Cagle!
Look at http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/frameset_search.asp and from the menu on the left select US Social Security Death Index and on the search form that comes up just enter the names and select the event (Death) in each case but do not enter any dates or US States ... One or two of the results in each case may or may not be relevant. In other words, there are entries where the person's Social Security no. was issued in TN or their last residence was TN. Click on each name to obtain further details.
... or perhaps none of these is the Dewey or Addie/Hattie Cagle you are looking for? You may be fortunate to discover that your Cagles are still living and you can successfully re-establish contact with them ...
