Hi there
I have only recently discovered that my grandfather was one of 12 children My G Grandfather had 23 wives.
I understand that Grandfather had a half sister who emigrated to Canada her name was Mary Ann Maclean.
Mary Ann Maclean was born c.1869 at 33 Gravir.
She was the child of Isabella Nicolson born 1844 February 15 & Neil Maclean born 1837. She was a child from his first marriage. The family lived at 33 Gravir.
I found this information on the hebridean connections website courtesy of the Pairc Historical Society.
My Grandfather was Neil MacLean, he married Kennethina MacRitchie and he settled in 7 Genside Gravir.
If there is anyone out there with any information on my relative I would love to hear from them.
