Robert McLean married Isabella "Bella" Cummings. They had at least the following children: (1) John Ambrose Mclean, born 3 Nov, 1876 bapt at St. Paul's R.C. Church, Summerside PEI. (2) Bernard Joseph Mclean born 15 Dec, 1877 PEI, moved to Boston Mass where he was married on 14 Dec 1898 at Belmont Mass to Harriet Isabel "Hattie B." McPhail (1879-1977), and he died at Dorchester Mass on 25 Sep, 1945. (3)George Henry Mclean bapt 12 Jun 1880 "aged 4 months" at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Alberton PEI. (4)Sarah Jane Mclean bapt 25 Apr 1882 at Sacred Heart RC Chuurch, Alberton PEI "aged 6 months". (5) James Alban Mclean, born 30 Jun 1885, bapt 7 Aug 1885 Sacred Heart RC Church, Alberton PEI. RE #2 above, Bernard Joseph Mclean (who sometimes went by Joseph B. Mclean) married as noted above Hattie Bell McPhail, and they had in Mass at least: A) Empress May Mclean (born 1899, married Felix Matazzaro and later a Murphy, and she is buried at Cedar Grove Cem, Dorchester MA with some of her children). B)Ethelyn Estrella Mclean born ca 1905. C) Earl Bernard Mclean born 11 Jun 1906 who married 20 Feb 1927 in Boston Esther Lillian Mellom (she born 31 Mar 1909 Boston to John F. Mellom whose parents Thomas Mellom and Bridget Elizabeth White were from Nova Scotia). D)Ernest Mclean, born ca 1914 ("aged 6" in 1920). If anyone knows the ancestry of Robert Mclean or his wife Isabella "Bella" Cummings of PEI, I would appreciate the news greatly. I post this information here becuase it has taken a long time to dig it out, and it may be of help to others. Bruce.
