Hello. I have been looking for the names of the two women who married my great-grandfather's younger brothers, Robert and Joseph KERR in the 1880's in or near Everett, MA. I have been suspecting that they were sisters.

This morning I received their obituaries from Everett, WA, in the mail, and my suspicion was correct.

The sisters were Margaret and Sarah MacLEAN, and they had another sister, name unknown, and a brother, William MacLEAN. I do not yet know the names of their parents, but the parents would have been born in Scotland, and their children were born in Nova Scotia, and the family migrated to Massachusetts probably during the 1870's.

Around 1900, the two couples moved to Washington State and remained there ! They lived in the same home and neither couple had children. But, the 2 sisters, both Mrs. KERR, died during the 1920's !

Robert KERR remained in Everett, WA, and lived to Age 82. But, I found out that in 1950 when Robert died, his brother, Joseph, was back living in Dorchester, MA. So, sometime after his wife passed away, he returned to MA where his other siblings lived !

I was just wondering if anyone knew about this MacLEAN family !

I have a few more details, but will post them at another time.
