Dear Allan Nice to read your family history. My mother was Mary Maclean from Tiree - her parents were Hector and Christina Maclean from Kenovay. I suspect but cannot prove that they were descended from a Maclean of Duart chief way back in the early 1400's. Through my g. grandmother Janet Boswell it would appear that I am descnded from Lady Jean Hamilton and David Boswell. Jean Hamilton was the illegitimate daughter of the first Earl of Arran (Hamilton) who was the son of Princess Mary of Scotland (daughter of James II)and James Hamilton of Cadzow (later named Hamilton)Priness Mary would be, of course, a direct descendant of Robert IIof Scotland. Gordon
