Thanks for your reply. It all depends what you read, have seen that entry in the clan maclean history, but my source is Burkes Landed Gentry, and gives Lachlan Mor Maclean b.ca 1614 and died post 1703, brother to John the 8th Laird born 1603, as there is significently more detail, I tend to believe the Burkes entry. The entry you refered to makes other claims too numerous to give, but are simply incorrect???
