hi!! found the following in the 1881 census in the East Lake Ainslie district....
ELAn9 McLean, James, 67, Head, Presb., Ann, 60, wife, w/ children John, 31, Sarrah, 29, Christy, 27, Jessie, 28, Christena, 23, and Mary Ann, 21...age is about right w/ only sisters...... in 1891 census ELAn32 McLean, John, 40, Head, Ann,65, Wid Mother, Sarrah, 32, Christie, 30, Christena, 28, Mary Ann, 26, all sisters, and Sarrah A., 8, niece.
