Hello, I am SO stuck with my research about Ruth McLean. I know that she was born in 1858, I think in Grosse Isle but maybe not :|
Ruth married Howard Allison McPhail in 1881, had 15 children, including my great grandmother Emily Armina McPhail, and died in Nova Scotia in 1947. I cannot locate a birth record of any kind. I do have her death certificate which states that her mother was Eva McLean of Gross Isle and her father was John McLean of Gairloch. Can anyone suggest next steps? Thanks!@
