Clan MacLachlan - from Canada
Posted by: Terra McLachlan (ID *****8796) Date: March 25, 2005 at 14:51:00

I am looking for infomation on my grandfather's history.
He (Hugh McLachlan) is currently residing in Trail, BC, Canada, married to Josaphine (nee Toyne). They have six children:

Terrance (my father and the eldest)

My grandfather also has a brother named Archie (as well as other brothers and sisters).

My grandfather's father was named Archibald and his grandfather was named Andrew. Archibald had changed our last name's spelling from MacLachlan to McLachlan (with a high "c" double underlined)

Archibald homesteaded in Canada (unsure to where or from where) in 1908 or 1910.

My grandfather's other grandparents were named Benjamin and Hazel Burrel (or Burrell) moved to Alberta from the US.

I hope you can help me in this search.
