Hi,

My direct descendant from KILMORY, BUTE is Janet MacKinnon(b.1795)and Archibald BANNATYNE (b. Kintyre, Argyllshire 1792). Children (some died early)- Duncan, John, Daniel, Duncan, Donald, Janet (?), William and William MacKinnon ..direct descendant BANNATYNE.

William (the second son named William- was born 16th April 1837 Kilmory Bute. He died 17th March, 1894 in Glasgow. He married Mary BURDEN 27th August 1873 in Glasgow. William and Mary's children were-

Ann, John Burden Bannatyne, Dunca/Donald and possibly Mary. John Burden Bannatyne is my GGFather on my Mothers side. My Mother is still alive and came out to Australia in 1921 with John B. Bannatyne and her Mother ALLISON MUIR McARTHUR.

Any connections ? CERTAINLY proves a connection between BUTE shire and Argyll (1800-1851) By 1851 it seems the BANNATYNE were gone. How about the MacKinnon?
