I have Mackinnons in my family tree too.My Great Grandmother was Effy Mackinnon...b13April1861...Cluere..Harris.
Her father was John Mackinnon..b around 1824.
Her mother was Catherine Mackinnon..b around 1822. They were married 29 Jan 1856.
Johns parents were John Mackinnon and Anne Macdonald.
Catherine's parents were John Mackinnon and Mary Macdonald
John and Catherine had other children..Margaret..Ann..Rachel and John.
John's parents could have been Evander and Rachel and think they may have had another son called Banantyne who registered Effy's birth.
Any info on them would be greatly appreciated.
