Sharon ..My grandfather was James Thomas McKINNON, born 1882
in Hackett City, Sebastian Co., AR. His parents were Abner Washington McKINNON & Sarah Ann KERSEY. James had a sister, "Lilly" (Lillian??) born about 1881 in AR. According
to another researcher, Lilly was married to Lige FARMER & they had two children, Mary Frances Farmer & a son, name unknown. I have not verified or documented this info on Lilly, only know what this other person told me. In my grandfather's obituary, 1959, it mentions that "he is survived by a sister, Lilly WOODARD, living in Calif."
Other siblings of James & Lilly were Mary Magdalene McK, Emanuel Melcolm "Jack" McK, John McK, Harold "Ranzy" McK,& Robert Lee McK. Except for Robert, all the children were born in AR. Robert was born 1894,Choctaw Nation, I.T. (now Latimer Co., OK). Latimer Co abuts Haskell Co on the South. My McK ancestors were also in LeFlore Co, OK, which abuts Haskell Co on the East.... Sarah McK died about 1894-95 & Abner died between 1896 & 1900. Since all of the children were rather young at this time, they were split-up & raised by different families. Robert was raised (adopted?)
by one of Sarah's brother's, William J. KERSEY & went by the name Rober Lee MKINNON KERSEY. Supposedly there is a Fannie DEREBERRY knows about this possible adoption. "Ranzy" was raised by William CARLILE, one of Sarah's brother-in-laws... Except for Mary McK, I am unable to find any of the family members in the 1900 census. Where was your Lilly in 1900? Most of the siblings ended up in TX... I notice that several of these same SURNAMES are
mentioned in some of your other queries. There must be a connection!!! If you think your "Lilly"& my "Lilly" are one & the same, I would like to correspond with you. The McKINNON line is my huge "Brick Wall". Regards, Dan
