hello
I read your post with interest. I am searching for my ggg grandfather Roderick (rory?) MacKinnon who was born around 1821. He shows up in the 1871 census for Sydney Mines an from there I have been able to trace my family. The LDS website states that he was born in Scotland. I have many clues that strongly suggest that he resided in the Boulardarie area before coming to work in the coal mines of Sydney Mines. His wife's name was Mary. I descend from his son Angus to Charles to Charles . Does any of this information match or can you help?

Thanks in advance
Donna Mac Kinnon
