Dear Friends,
I am looking for more information about my ggggrandfather George W. McKinnon and when this line actually arrived from Scotland. He was married to a Margaret Stewart on Jan. 30,1851, and they had a daughter named Sarah Elizabeth McKinnon Grant who I am related to.He also was the father of Wiiliam W., Arletta Francis and I think G.W Jr.He was born June 15,1825 and died September 20,1897. He served in the 61st Regiment,15th Brigade N.C. Confederate militia as a Captain.
I think his father was Daniel McKinnon who married Sarah Cambell in 1822. If anyone has any information I would greatly appreciate as I am desiring to join The Clan MacKinnon and become active in the Highland Games in N.C.
