I am just starting to search my family history and will begin by trying to find out any info on my father Fredrick Leonard MacKinnon (apparently from the Queen Charlottes BC)
He would have passed away sometime around 1948-49, but this I am not sure on. He married my mother Dolores Donna Chahley around 1942-43 in Winnipeg where I was born on February 23, 1945. I was adopted at the age of three in Vancouver and have a sister, Cheryl, who I know very well.
Any info at all or advice on where to begin would be very helpful.
