Greetings Grant.
Severla memebrs of my great-grandfather's children migrated to Canada from Scotland in the late 1800's and early 1900's. My grandfather, William S Mackie, came to the Lethbridge, AB area. He was joined a couple of his siblings there, and undoubtly be some cousins. But John Alexander and Alexander John are very common names in the Mackie family and I do not not have one that fits your time frame.
My data on my grandfather's cousins is not complete, but my Mackie family is from the Aberdeenshire area of Scotland.
Happy hunting.
Larry Francis
