This is info that I found while researching the LDS records on the internet. I feel somewhat positive that I have the correct lineage but nothing is proven. This Alexander Mackie was born in 1726 in Aberdeen,Scotland. I have a strong hunch that he came to America with at least one brother,Andrew. You will find other queries on Andrew Mackie on this forum. Alexander's father was said to be Alexander b. 22 July 1703 of Aberdeen, Scotland. No mention of the mother. The next Alexander's father was said to be Alexander b. 12 Aug 1677 of Foveran,Aberdeen,Scotland and mother was Jean Wilke - no dates given. From there it is James Mackie b.8 Jan 1645/46 of Old Machar, Aberdeen, Scotland to William Mackie b.3 Apr 1618 of Montrose, Angus, Scotland then to Robert Mackie b.1585 also of Montrose. If you find any discrepencies at all please let me know. Good Hunting! Jean
