I STILL cannot find anything on my own maiden name, after years of research. My Dad said he thot his grandfather & family lived in Aberdeen, Sct. or near there.
My Gr. grandf name was William Mackie b maybe abt the mid 1830's.My grandf says he was b in Saginaw, MI.His name was William Albert Mackie b 10 May 1864. Died in Treadwell, Alaska, 23 June 1916 of a stroke. My Grandf had black hair & a red mustache.I do not know my Gr Grandm. name, only that she was b in VT.I have no sibling names either for my gr grandf or my grandfather. My Aunt also had reddish hair as did my Dad.My Aunt died before I got involved in gen. & so did my mother. My Dad did not know anything about his Dad.My grandf came to WA Territory & worked in the logging industry. Then went to CA & owned a meat market. In Alaska he was a 'steward' at a hotel, cook in other words. My grandm also cooked.
Would love to find out something about the Mackies.
Thanks.
Pam
