Fife Scotland, 1640
We are descended from Capt. David Peebles and Elspet Mackie of Fife.We are looking for parents and any siblings or family of both David Peebles and Elspet Mackie.David went from Fife to Charles City, Virginia in 1649 but as far as we know neither Elspet nor his small children went with him.He was believed to be escaping execution by Cromwell's supporters. Later his son William came to Virginia to administer his estate.
Following is the information we have related to the Mackie family. Does this happen to be your Mackie family and/or do you have related information on our Peebles family?
