Mack Family Genealogy Forum
I am downsizing my genealogical “stuff “ to better fit what will remain into a smaller apt. when I move to another part of the state. I have the pension file of Henry Clay Mack to send to some descendant (through their adopted children) or someone connected to this Mack family.
Henry was b. 24 Aug 1844 in Ithaca, Tompkins, NY to (my) John Milton Mack and Susan Maria Almy. He is a brother to my Frances Eunice Mack. Henry married Cynthia Ann Wheelock 11 Sept. 1868 in Marshall County, Iowa. (Possibly Marshalltown). I have not done research to follow the trail of the only two children I found: Russell M. Mack who was adopted and Adeline Mack. There may be “descendants” of Henry and Cynthia through these children who may want to know more about this couple.
Henry had multiple serious injuries as a result of his Civil War Service and had to keep applying for a pension and then for an increase in same as his ability to work to earn a living decreased. This is a big fat file and it could fit into a manila envelope but not sure it would make it through the mail; might consider using one of those flat rate envelopes for 4.95 and I would appreciate being reimbursed for postage no matter what envelope it goes in; I am on a very low fixed income with no changes foreseen. This pension file will not be going with me when I move.
