Mack family in Edgefield South Carolina

Does anyone have information about the branch of the Mack family that went to Edgefield county SC in modern day Saluda? The branch I am talking about immigrated in the 1700's or earlier. (Surname may have been spelt Mock, Mauch or something else originally but is now Mack.) I already know about the Macks back to the 1860's.
