Gordon Mack and Asenath Palmer
I am attempting to locate information about this couple. They were married Aug 1, 1780 in the Congregational Church, Hartland, Hartford co., Connecticut. From "Early Connecticut Marriages As Found On Ancient Church Records Prior to 1800" byFREDERIC W BAILEY, Bureau of American Ancestry, New Haven, Conn., April 27, 1896.
What I have learned about Gordon Mack is as follows:
Birth, Marriage, & children data from Karrie Cristea from unpublished document. No sources of verification included.Received May 23, 1999
Karrie wroteMay 22, 1999," I have been tracing my famly tree and I got very lucky, a couple a months ago I found a family member who has been searching my family for 3 years and gave me a lot of information and dates....I received a great deal of info about the Mack family and there is a Jonathon Young born 1781 to a Gordon Mack and Asenath Palmer....There are also 2 siblings menioned for the Jonathon I have listed Lorensa and Gurdon and he (Jonathon) married a woman named Jane and had Jonathon b 1818 and Lucinda.
Most of the above data has been verified through non related sources, except for Jonathan's parents or his daughter, Lucinda.
What I have learned about Asenath Palmer is as follows:
Documented birth and death dates are unknown.Gordon Mack married a second time to a?Owen on Feb., 28, 1802.Asenath's death would be before that date.It is possible that she died of post-partum complications from the birth of Gurdon on November 29,1801.It appears that Gordon immediately remarried to provide a mother for his three month old son.
Parents of Asenath have not been proven:

Thanks for visit to WALTER PALMER.In checking over your inquiry I found that what you have is entirely possible.Web page is sometimes unreliable in that I found that Asenath was b. 1755 and not 1753(typo). I am sending
you by snail mail what I have published in Genealogy. I have no further info on who or whom she married. She is descended from only son of Walter from his first marriage in England name not documented. His name was Jonas/Jonah
and he was left farm in Rehoboth(now a part of RI) when WALTER proceeded on to be one of founders of Stonington, CT. Long story in Genealogy. I have sent a couple of complementary excerpts from Genealogy for your
perusal.
Thanks again for visit, I remain Relatively yours, [email protected]
I hope someone will be able to help me with this puzzle.
