Kate,

My Gr-Gr grandmother was Ann Cruickshank, born 1770 in Knockando, Moray and she also married a Mackintosh (McIntosh in Ontario, Canada) - those pesky McIntoshes just had a real "hankering" for Cruickshank girls!

The Cruickshanks came from the areas around Rothes, Huntley, Methlick and some at Elgin.
These Mackintoshes were from Moray, Ferness area and up and down the the Spey, and living, for the most part around "Edinkillie" which is about 8 miles east of Ferness.

Look in those areas and you find be able to find a connect. There are some records!
Regards
Ron
