Hello Everyone: This is the first time posting to this board. I have just started researching my grand children's family tree on their father's side. I am looking for any information on their GG Grandmother. Maud Machin from Staffordshire, 1883 - 1950. She was born March 10, 1883 in England. Possibly the Maud Machin born in Buslem England (according to the 1881 census) and died Nov. 18, 1950, in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada. She married Joseph James Warren on Nov. 12, 1910 Upper Tean, Christ Church, Staffordshire. On her Marriage licence it states that she was married by banns, and that her father was James Machin ( Deceased )his occupation is listed as a Potter. Maud and Joseph had two children Stella born in England and Erick born in Canada. Maud, Joseph and Stella came to Canada in 1913. I am looking for any informtion on Maud's parents and siblings. According to the 1891 census their is a Maud that fits with the age and a parent of James - Potter, in Staffordshire. If in fact this is the right James it lists his wife as Elizabeth, and other children as John, Elizabeth, Mary, George, Amy, James, Lillie, William. If in fact this is the right Machin family I think James is the James Machin who died in the March quarter 1903 at Wolstanton, Staffordshire, England. Who I am sure is the same James Machin as in the 1891 Census at Wolstanton. His age at the time of the Census and time of death also seem to fit. Does anyone know anything of this family. I just want to make sure I am onto the right family here. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance. Rosemary Notify Administrator about this message?
