I KNOW THAT A FAMILY REUNION FOR MACHADO'S IS CONDUCTED IN THE TOWN OF ISABELLA, PUERTO RICO ONCE EVERY YEAR.
FURTHERMORE, I HEAR THE TURNOUT IS LARGE, INCLUDING FAMILY FROM THE ISLAND OF TENERIFE(LA COROTOVA), CANARY ISLANDS OF SPAIN. THE MACHADO FAMILY IN THIS TOWN ARE VERY WELL KNOWN AND HAVE A HISTORY GOING BACK INTO THE 1800'S.
IN ADDITION, THERE IS EVEN A BOOK(PUBLISHED)1999 AUTHOR:EDUARDO MACHADO MARTINEZ, PUBLISHER IMPRENTA SAN RAFAEL*BOX 948*QUEBRADILLAS, PUERTU RICO, 00678.
FINALLY, THE FAMILY ALSO HAVE A VERY INTERESTING STORY ON THEIR MAIDEN VOYAGE TO PUERTO RICO. IT INVOLVES THE DONATION OF A HUGE CROSS TO THE LOCAL CATHOLIC CHURCH WHICH STILL STANDS TO THIS DATE. THE CHURCH ALSO CELEBRATES THE ANNIVERSARY INVOLVING THE MACHADO CROSS AS A OFFICIAL CHURCH SERVICE. I HOPE THIS INFORMATION HELPS YOU IN YOUR QWEST. O. MACHADO
