I have a good photograph labeled "Col. MacGowan, Chattanooga, Tenn." which I would like to give to a descendant. It's about 4X6 - a very distinguished looking gentleman but unrelated to me. A Google search came up with John E. MacGowan, former Editor in Chief of the Chattanooga Times which is apparently why it ended up in a box of family photos (two of my ancestors worked at The Times in the late 1800's). Google says he was born Sept. 20, 1831, died Apr. 12, 1903. If you're related and would like the photo, please EMAIL ME DIRECTLY at debiham@comcast.net - I will not be checking this forum as I have no relations here. Thanks.
