Daniel MacGillivray's ancestors St. Pierre, Manitoba

I know that my great grandfather was Daniel MacGillivray and he married Rose Nault in 1916 in St. Pierre, Red River settlement Manitoba and that his parents names were Dan MacGillivray and Mary Elizabeth Jackson, this is all I know and would like to trace back the family further.
I've heard that Daniel could be buried in St.Thomas, Ontario but have no proof of that yet.
If anyone has information that might help me I would really appreciate it.
