Hello there:
My husband is a descendant of Frederick James SPONG 1789-1875, by his second marriage to Jeanette (RICKS) JOHNSON while in Ireland.
According to another SPONG researcher, his first marriage was to Elizabeth McFARLANE/MacFARLANE in 1815. Their sons Frederick McFarlane SPONG (1816) & Frederick McFarlane SPONG (1818) were born at Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire.
It would be great to share more information.
