Hi CrystalAccording to an uncle of mine the Macey's were granted a coat of arms in Dublin Castle in the 16th century. It is described as - Azure, a chevron argent between two mullets pierced or in chief and a dexter gauntlet supporting a mace in base of last. The Crest - a gauntlet as arms.Motto - Pro libertate patriae (For the liberty of my country).Family tradition has it the the Macey's came over to England from Ireland during the "Potatoe Troubles."
Hope this helps.Regards Barry Macey
