Bolsheff Vasileff was my great grandfather. He was born in Tetovo either on September 5, 1893 or December 25, 1893, and died in Madison Co. IL on November 29, 1953. I don't know when he came over to the US. His name was changed to Jim Vassel when he came over to the US. On my grandfather's baptismal certificate, Bolsheff's name was listed as Bojon/Bojin.
According to his Social Security records, his father's name was Antonius Vasileff and his mother's name was Pagi, maiden name unknown. That's all I know of him. Does anyone have any information on Vasileffs and more specifically, my great grandfather? Thanks!
