In 1861 John Allen and James Wilkinson were indicted for the murder of Hiram Mc Cauley, Mary Ann Mace and George Mace in Carrollton (Ill.) in 1861. Change of venue granted to Winchester, Ill. Found guilty, this information in circuit clerk's office-box 28 in Winchester.
Who are the murdered people and why were they murdered? And who are John Allen and James Wilkinson? I think they are kin but must know much more.
