Judy, do you know who this Jesse's parents are?If not, any clues at all?If you have been following my Mace quest you know I found a Jesse (middle initial does not look like an 'M' but I can't tell really what it is) Mace in Paola, with his step-father living with him.I have two sisters for this Jesse, Ella and Mary Alice, and 6 half brothers and sisters, and 3 step brothers and sisters.
In the 1910 KS-Miami Co-Paola census, Jesse is 48, living with wife (can't read but looks like Laticia A.) age 42 and adopted daughter Alice B. age18.In the 1915 state census this family is no longer in Paola. In 1912 when John W. Reddington died, his obit states he was in KC at his son's when he died.So in 1910, John is living with Jesse and by 1915 Jesse is ???That is where I'm stuck at right now.
I just scanned through the 1895 state census and Jesse's sister Ella is in Paola with her husband and children but I didn't see any other Mace or Reddington families there.I'll try and look at it again tomorrow.
Several people in this group lived in KC.Wish we had more to go on.Jesse seems to have been a very popular name among Mace folk during this time, there are too many of them
