Hi Ronnie,

I have been researching my KILGOUR family for some time. They are from Falkland Fife. I have information on my family going back to JOHN KILGOUR and MAY FINLAY (FINDLAY) of Falkland. They were married in 1794.

My line moved on to Aberlady, East Lothian, where my gr-grandfather THOMAS KILGOUR was born in 1866,then on to Lanark, then on to Peebles for a short time, then on to Ayrshire, where my grandfather JAMES KILGOUR was born in 1889. He was born in Old Cumnock.

This family lived for a time in Auchinleck, Ayrshire, and also in Edinburgh, where my gr-gr-grandparents JAMES AND MARGARET KILGOUR died. I was told they are buried in the Merchiston cemetery.

My grandfather JAMES came to Manitoba, Canada about 1905 when only 16 years old. His parents and siblings came to Vancouver, B.C. Canada about 1911. My grandfather moved with his wife and children to Vancouver about 1919.

My great-grandfather THOMAS had one brother who also came to Canada, one sister who went to South Africa and the rest of his siblings stayed on in Scotland in area of Edinburgh. I have not been able to make contact with any of the living members of these families.

Can you please give me some information on the Clan Sept KILGOUR of which you are a member? Is there a web site that I can look at with information on this association?

Thank you for any information you can give me.

Carolyn
