Hello,

My information is still sketchy, and I will look up some of my old files later to confirm but this is what I have:

My great,great,great Grandfather was John Band/Ban Mac/McDougall.

He was born in Scotland, likely in the early 1800s or very late 1700s, somewhere in the Knoydart/Oban/Argyll area. He moved to the Glengarry, Ontario area in the early 1800s. I can look up the date as I have a record of the ship and passenger list. He had a few brothers and sisters that came over as well.

He married Mary and he had two sons, Duncan and Allen.

Duncan had a son, Joseph McDougall.

Joseph McDougall had a son, William John McDougall born 1903 VanLeek Hill, Ontario.

William John had a son, William Joseph McDougall born 1938 in Lewiston, NY.

I have a fair bit of information on the Glengarry connection as we still have a number of family members living in that area.

Also, we are in the process of planning a large MacDougall family reunion in the Niagara Falls, NY area for July 2008. We are in the early stages still, but a mailing will be going out soon, and we have a website: www.mcdougall2008reunion.com and an email address: mcdougallreunion2008@adelphia.net

If you have any interest in attending please feel free to contact us.
