Re Alexander Macdonald, Canadian Colonel in Confederate Army?
I've run across a reference (below) to a great-grandson of Angus Ban of Muniall(Angus Ban settled in Glengarry, Canada, in 1786).I'd like to know more about Alexander Macdonald (or Macdonell?) who apparently was a Colonel in the Confederate army. Does anybody know where?regimental info? anything more than what is in the excerpt below?
