Read with interest your information on Archibald MacDonald. I have an Archibald as a possible immigrant ancestor but he would have been born closer to 1800. However the name recurs in later generations and I have no trouble following long shots any more. My MacDonalds show up on Prince Edward Island early 1800's and may have been involved with or possibly been loyalists. There is DNA evidence linking them to east coast US, Cape Breton and Nova Scotia (as well as New Zealand and Australia. Any way long story, but thought I would send you a little information to see if anything rings familiar. Othe family names Mary, Agnes, Margaret, John, William, Hugh (Archibald), Ronald.
Thanks for your post. Steve
