I have an interesting find. I was going through a small "family" Bible and discovered that the Bible was originally given to "Archibald Macdonald" from "Victoria November 11, 1877". Inside the cover of the Bible I lifted some glued down paper to find an alphbetical listing of a number of different men with their home of record and an unrelated date listed by each man, beginning in 1611 and ending in 1799.
The Bible was given to my wife by her dad who claims the Bible was given to him by his father (who was given the Bible by his father). The Bible has been in the Parks Family for over 100 years, but I don't know why it's really Archibald's. Could the Parks' Bible be in the hands of the MacDonald's? The original Parks Family were loyalists and moved to Canada during the American Revolution. However, in the 1870's the small family immigrated across Lake Michigan from Ontario and settled around Bay City, MI.
Any thought's on this? If this is really your family Bible I'd like to return it to you.
