Ian S. MacDonald of Barrington Hills A celebration of Ian S. MacDonald's life will be held from 3 to 6 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 13, at the Barrington Hills Country Club, 300 W. County Line Road (Lake-Cook Road) in Barrington Hills. Born April 24, 1945, in Hackensack, N.J., he passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007, in Chicago. Ian moved to Evanston when he was 11 years of age and graduated from Evanston High School in 1963, and Ripon College in 1967. He played football for both schools. Ian was currently a sales representative for General Binding Corporation in Chicago and had previously worked for UARCO Corporation, where he received their salesman of the year award in 1986. He enjoyed fox hunting and was a 10-year member of the Wayne-DuPage Hunt. Ian also enjoyed sailing and bicycling. Survivors include his wife, Stacy MacDonald; brother, Douglas MacDonald; and sister-in-law, Stephanie Myers of Bellevue, Wash. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Frances MacDonald.
