I am researching my Great-Grandfather's family. His name is Hugh McDonald who was born July 29, 1849 in Ontario, Canada. He migrated to Vernon Parish, Louisiana and married Rebeccah Rozelle Anne Jones (b. Aug. 14, 1849, d. Sept. 4, 1912). Hugh died in Shreveport, LA hospital October 31, 1901. All we know of Hugh's family is that his father's name was John Douglas McDonald and that he migrated from Scotland to Canada where he married someone French whose name we do not know.
