Their children with birthplaces & approximate birth years: John, Dalrymple 1835; George, Dalrymple 1837; Jane, Newton Ayr 1840; William, St. Quivox 1842; Agnes, Ayr 1845 and Alex, Ayr 1847. George was a grocer in Ayr at least from 1851 - 1871 and died 1873. If they are your ancestors I would like to compare notes.
